Save the environment for 10x CO2
Did you know that the amount of energy and natural resources used to produce, pack and ship new furniture and lamps is 10 times higher than when refurbishing used furniture? What is today called ''retro or designer furniture'' has become this because it is made of solid materials and by very skilled craftsmen, it does not matter that the furniture/lamp has a timeless appearance! So a full restoration of older retro / designer furniture and lamps is important, so our children can have fresh air to breathe and a good world to live in.

''THE CROWD''
Georg Anton Rasmussen was born in Stavanger in 1842, but became a pupil of the German painter, Oswald Achenbach (1827-1905) in Düsseldorf. More by G.A. Rasmussen's German motifs therefore originate from the Düsseldorf area, but also from Berlin, to which he moved in 1899. His landscape paintings were very popular, with Georg Anton Rasmussen's color vision was more vigorous and personal than usual in contemporary Germany. Here there was also a demand for the Norwegian nature scenes and fjord scenes, of which he eventually became a master, and for which he is still very well known. Despite the fact that G.A. Rasmussen gradually became a Norwegian-German personality, he did not forget Norway. He painted several Norwegian motifs in memory, but many were also performed during holidays in the country of his birth. Among several artists, he was a well-known guest at the Hotel Stalheim, north of Oslo. Georg Anton Rasmussen made use of modern tourism and hospitality here, and painted local motifs that could easily be sold to hotel guests.
Georg Anton Rasmussen died in 1914 in Berlin.
